Large Scale Asperity

MTG have recently deployed our bespoke Large Scale Asperity tool, designed inhouse and manufactured locally using 25 mm aluminium bar precision cut using highly accurate water jetting.

The tool allows for rapid and accurate measurement of asperity relative to a fixed reference line, with the tool locking to the rock surface using adjustable rubber feet to maintain the integrity of the measurements. The slots allow a steel ruler to repeatably allow measurement of the surface points rapidly, at predetermined intervals, resulting in data being able to be acquired in the field with significant reductions in error.
